Pool Care — Frequently Asked Questions
Nero4U® Pool Sanitiser uses a combination of non-chlorine active ingredients — including Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride, Polyhexamethylene Biguanidine, and Benzyl Ammonium Chloride — to kill bacteria, viruses, fungi, and algae in pool water without the harshness of traditional chlorine-based products.
2 litres treats up to 50,000 litres of pool water. For a standard residential pool (typically 30,000–50,000L), one 2L bottle is sufficient per monthly treatment. If the pool is less than 25,000L, add only 1L.
Nero4U® Pool Sanitiser is a once-a-month treatment. Simply reapply every 4 weeks to maintain continuous protection.
No. You must neutralise existing chlorine before switching to Nero4U®. Use a chlorine neutraliser, or stop dosing your pool with chlorine for at least 10 days prior to adding the product. Once treated, Nero4U® completely replaces chlorine, algaecides, flocculants, and filter aids.
Yes — once diluted in pool water, it is softer on both skin and eyes than chlorine. However, the concentrated product may cause irritation, so avoid direct contact with the undiluted formula and keep out of reach of children.
No. Nero4U® Pool Sanitiser is non-corrosive and contains no copper sulphates, making it safe for all pool surfaces, pumps, filters, and plumbing.
For green or dirty pools, you'll need to follow the extended process: shock the water first with Hydrogen Peroxide (2L per 25,000L) or chlorine (2 cups per 25,000L — not stabilised), wait 7 days if using chlorine, then add Nero4U® and allow 24–36 hours for flocculation before vacuuming to waste. Full steps are detailed in the application guide above.
Keep away from direct sunlight and do not store close to strong oxidisers or reducing agents. Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
